28 December 2021 Current Affairs:Madhya Pradesh hosts the World Sangeet Tansen Festival from 25 to 30 December.

Highlights:

  • The 97th edition of the World Sangeet Tansen festival began in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The city will host a five-day World Sangeet Tansen festival from December 25 to December 30 at Gwalior. 
  • The program’s stage was built around the theme of Omkareshwar’s Siddhanath temple. 
  • The music festival will feature many artists from India as well as from other countries.
  • The first seven concerts took place on the stage set up at Tansen’s mausoleum and Mohammad Ghaus’ tomb. 
  • On December 30, the eighth concert will take place on the banks of the Jhilmil river in Behat (Tansen’s birthplace). 
  • On the same day, the last brief concert will be held at Gwalior Fort.
  • Ms. Usha Thakur, the State Culture Minister, will preside over the event. During the inauguration ceremony, the National Kalidas Awards will be presented.
  • The event will feature nine musical performances in total.
  • All of the events will be held in two shifts, with the morning event running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the evening event running from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. 
  • All of the COVID 19 protocol’s requirements will be followed.
