World Computer Literacy Day is celebrated on 2nd December every year worldwide.

Highlights:

The day is marked as the world computer literacy day to create recognition and encourage digital literacy in underserved societies worldwide. 
The day encourages technological skills, notably in children and women, and strives to inspire them to discover more and make their work more accessible by utilising computers. 
The day was initially established by the Indian computer company NIIT to register its 20th anniversary in 2001. 
World Computer Literacy Day was first recognised and held in the year 2001 on 2nd December. 
The day is celebrated to create awareness and drive digital literacy in underserved communities worldwide.
