09 April 2021 Current Affairs:From now on, officials from the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) will be transferred every three years.
Highlights:
♦ CVC revised the guidelines related to the transfer and dispatch of officials in the vigilance units of government organizations.
♦ The term of office may be extended by three years, albeit at a different release location.
♦ CVC believes that an official’s excessive stay in the vigilant department may generate vested interests, in addition to causing unnecessary complaints or allegations.
♦ The new standard ensures the transparency, objectivity and uniformity of the method.
♦ The order says that after transfer from the vigilance unit, there will be a mandatory cooling-off period of 3 years before anyone can be considered again for posting it on the unit.
