16 October 2021 Current Affairs:Anurag Singh Thakur, the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, launched the ‘MyParkings’ app. Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) and South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) collaborated on an IoT-enabled app to extend all authorized parking inside SDMC municipal limits.
Highlights:
♦The service will thereafter be implemented in other municipal divisions across India.
♦The app’s main goal is to minimize pollution by reducing the amount of time spent looking for parking spots.
♦The MyParking App will provide customers with simple options for hassle-free parking and online parking slot booking, allowing them to park their automobiles without delay.
