25 September 2021 Current Affairs:Hungary has opened the statue of Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto. The imposing bronze statue was opened in Hungary’s capital, Budapest. This is the first such statue throughout the world to pay homage to the creator of Bitcoin digital currency. It has been developed in a commercial enterprise park near the Danube River in Budapest. The bust sits atop a stone plinth & is engraved with the name of Satoshi Nakamoto, who is the pseudonym of the mysterious developer of Bitcoin whose proper identification is still unknown.
Highlights:
♦ Statue was created by Reka Gergely and Tamas Gilly. They have portrayed a human form and have stayed proper to the anonymity of Nakamoto, the person no one knows how they appear.
Bitcoin was created in the year 2008 in the backdrop of the global monetary crisis. Its goal was to keep away from traditional financial institutions by the potential of creating impenetrable technological know-how for peer-to-peer online transactions. It does not involve intermediaries like banks. The founding white paper was posted in 2008 and was authored by Nakamoto.
