26 February 2021 Current Affairs:The Union government has announced that the second phase of COVID-19 vaccination will begin on March 1, 2021.
Highlights:
♦ In the second phase of the covid-19 vaccine, people over the age of 60 will be vaccinated.
♦ In addition, according to the guidelines, people over 45 years of age with comorbidities (which means that there are one or more other diseases that occur at the same time as any major disease) will also be vaccinated in the second phase.
♦ Beneficiaries can be vaccinated in 10,000 governments and approximately 20,000 private vaccination centers nationwide.
♦ The vaccination campaign will be conducted free of charge in all 10,000 government hospitals.
♦ But the beneficiaries will have to pay to be vaccinated at 20,000 private vaccination centers. The cost of the vaccine has not yet been determined by the Ministry of Health.
