PM Visit To Bangladesh – Key Outcomes

03 April 2021 Current Affairs:On March 26, 2021, at the invitation of Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a two-day visit to Bangladesh.
Highlights:
♦ This visit includes commemorations of three very important events.
♦ The first is Mujib Borsho,
♦ The second is Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birthday anniversary
♦ The third is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Bangladesh and establish diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and India.
♦ In addition to this, PM Modi has also signed five memorandums of understanding related to connectivity, business, IT and sports to establish bilateral relations between the two countries.
♦ Memorandum of understanding on disaster management, strengthening and mitigation.
♦ Memorandum of Understanding on the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) and the Indian National Cadet Corps (INCC)
♦ A memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a framework for cooperation in the field of trade remedies between Bangladesh and India.
♦ A tripartite memorandum of understanding on the establishment of sports facilities in the Rajshahi College Stadium and surrounding areas.
♦ A tripartite memorandum of understanding on the provision of information and communication technology equipment, courseware and reference books, and training for the Bangladesh-Bharot Digital Services and Employment and Training (BDSET) Center.
