13 November 2021 Current Affairs:On November 11, the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, National Education Day is observed.

♦ This day is frequently commemorated in schools by holding a variety of functions and programs.
♦ Since 2008, this day has been observed.
♦ On September 11, 2008, the Ministry of Human Resources Development declared September 11th to be National Education Day, honoring Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birthday and remembering his contributions to Indian education.

♦ Every year, schools commemorate this day by hosting a variety of entertaining and educational seminars, essay contests, rallies, and symposia.
♦ On this day, students and teachers join together to discuss the importance of literacy and the nation’s dedication to education in all areas.

Maulana Abul Azad
♦ Maulana Abul Azad was a senior leader of the Indian National Congress and an Indian independence campaigner, writer, and Islamic theologian (INC). 
♦ He was the First Minister of Education of Independent India, serving in Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s cabinet from 1947 to 1958.
♦ In his youth, he wrote Urdu poetry and treatises on religion and philosophy. Through his work as a journalist and the publication of writings critical of the British Raj, he rose to notoriety.
