More Caves Found at Trirashmi Hill

05 June 2021 Current Affairs:The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has discovered three more caves in Trirashmi hill in Nashik, Maharashtra. The Trirashmi Buddhist caves, also known as Pandav Leni, are also located in the same location.

Highlights:
♦ The newly discovered caves are thought to be older than the Trirashmi caves, and they are thought to be the homes of Buddhist monks.
♦ All of the caves have verandahs as well as the traditional square stone platform for monks.
♦ Similar to the Kanheri and Wai caves, there are special arrangements for monks to meditate.
