02 November 2021 Current Affairs:National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) got registered in the Guinness Book of World Records On the first day of Ganga Utsav.

Highlights:
♦ Because a record amount of images of handwritten notes were uploaded to Facebook in an hour, it was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.
♦ The Ganga Utsav event was held to promote awareness about Ganga rejuvenation as well as to expand the festival’s scope.
♦ The 5th edition of Ganga Utsav began with a bang, with lots of fun and celebrations. The celebration will honor the glory of the Ganga, as well as other Indian rivers.

Ganga Utsav
♦ The National Mission for Clean Ganga, which is run by the National Ganga Council, holds a Ganga Utsav to commemorate the grandeur of the river Ganga (NGC).
♦ It is a three-day celebration that encourages stakeholders to participate. It also fosters public involvement. 
♦ Storytelling, folklore, talks with famous individuals, quizzes, music, and dance performances, and the display of traditional art forms, exhibitions, and photo galleries are all part of the festivities.
♦ Ganga Utsav is celebrated with the objective of connecting different people to rejuvenate the river. The Ganga Utsav is celebrated across the banks of the river
