The Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) of India’s Sports Ministry has confirmed Md Arif Khan’s participation in the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) Core.

Highlights:

He will be a part of this group until the Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, in February. 
Khan holds the distinction of being the first Indian to obtain direct quota slots in two different Winter Olympics events, 
He is also the first Indian athlete to secure a berth at the Winter Olympic Games 2022.
Khan will compete in the Slalom and Giant Slalom events at the Winter Olympics.
 In addition, a number of Rs 17.46 lakh has been approved under TOPS for training in Europe and equipment procurement in advance of the major event in China.
Khan’s European training camp, which began after his qualification for the Winter Olympics, was permitted by the MOC for a total of 35 days. 
In December of last year, he earned the quota in the giant slalom in a competition in Montenegro.
