Mastercard and Google Pay have partnered to tokenize card-based payments.

Highlights:

Google Pay users can now safely transact with their Mastercard credit and debit cards thanks to a tokenization method announced by Mastercard and Google.
Google Pay Android users can now scan and pay at all Bharat QR-enabled merchants, tap-and-pay, and make in-app transactions using their Mastercard debit and credit cards thanks to this partnership. 
Users will need to do a one-time setup by entering their card details and their OTP to add their card to the Google Pay app for convenient registration.
This initiative, according to Mastercard, is an extension of the company’s long-standing partnership with Google and will help India’s digital economy thrive.
Mastercard was founded on December 16, 1966, and its headquarters are in New York, New York. Its CEO is Michael Miebach, and its Executive Chairman is Ajay Banga.
