28 August 2021 Current Affairs:The Prime Minister (PM) chaired the 37th edition of Pro-Active Governance And Timely Implementation (PRAGATI) – the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based totally multimodal platform, involving Central and State governments.

Highlights:
♦ The PM reviewed a number of projects worth Rs 1,26,000 crores alongside the ‘One Nation – One Ration Card’ (ONORC) scheme’.
♦ The ONORC scheme targets at imparting subsidised meal grains to migrant employees and their family members at any fair fee shop somewhere in the country under the National Food Security Act, 2013.
♦ Pro-Active Governance & Timely Implementation (PRAGATI) was launched in the year 2015.
♦ It has been designed via the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) group with the assistance of the National Informatics Center (NIC).
♦ It allows the PM to talk about the troubles with the involved central and country officials with full data and cutting-edge visuals of the ground-level situation.
♦ The PRAGATI platform uniquely bundles three modern-day technologies: Digital data management, video-conferencing and geo-spatial technology.
♦ It is a three-tier machine (PMO, Union Government Secretaries, and Chief Secretaries of the States).
