Every year on December 15, International Tea Day is honored.

Highlights:

Every year on December 15, countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Uganda, India, and Tanzania commemorate International Tea Day. 
After water, it is the world’s second most popular beverage. Tea is an important element of some people’s lives since it brings rhythm to their lives. 
China is currently the world’s largest tea exporter. According to a survey conducted by the Tea Board of India in 2007, the domestic population consumes almost 80% of the total tea produced in India.
In 2005, the first ITD was conducted in New Delhi, India. The Indian government, on the other hand, recommended to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization in 2015 to expand International Tea Day around the world.
The United Nations has designated May 21 as International Tea Day since the tea harvesting season begins in most parts of the world in May.
