20 September 2021 Current Affairs:The International Red Panda Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of September each and every year to increase public attention and support for crimson panda conservation issues. In 2021, the IRPD will be observed on 18 September 2021. 

Highlights:
♦ The Red Panda day was launched by the Red Panda Network in the year 2010. The first worldwide purple Panda day was celebrated on 18th September 2010.
♦ There are 2 distinct species of red pandas Ailurus fulgens is frequently acknowledged as Himalayan Red Panda and Ailurus fulgens styani typically known as Chinese Red Panda, these are broadly speaking observed in the Eastern Himalayan location and southwestern China. 
♦ Genetically the red pandas belong to the order of Carnivora, but commonly devour bamboo shoots, mushrooms etc and additionally devour birds, eggs, and insects. The common lifespan of these crimson pandas is 23 years and the female pandas end breeding after the age of 12.
