International Delegates Day is Designated on 25 April

26 April 2021 Current Affairs:International Delegate’s Day observed globally on 25 April each year and every year. This day is observed to raise cognizance of the position of the representatives and delegates of the Member States to the United Nations. 

Background:
International Delegate’s Day marks the anniversary of the 1st day of the San Francisco Conference which is additionally recognised as the United Nations Conference on International Organization.
On 25 April 1945, delegates from 50 international locations got here together for the first time in San Francisco. The conference took place after the devastation of the 2d world war. The delegates aimed to set up an employer that would restoration world peace and imposes policies on the post-war world order. On April 2, 2019, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 25 April as International Delegate’s Day.
