Infrastructural Projects to be Inaugurated in Kerala

Some of new Infrastructural projects has been inaugurated Kerala.
Highlights:
320 KV Pugalur (Tamil Nadu)-Thrissur (Kerala) Power Transmission Project: This is India’s first High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Project. This will help transfer 2,000 megawatts of power from the western region and help meet the load growth in Kerala. Compared with conventional HVDC systems, this will also ensure a 35-40% reduction in floor space.
50 MW Kasaragod Solar Power Project: It was developed under the National Solar Energy Mission. The Integrated Command and Control Centre in Thiruvananthapuram: It is set up to host the Smart Solutions of Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation. In an emergency, it will serve as a common point of action to facilitate coordinated actions, as well as decision-making among various agencies such as police, civil supplies, revenue, health and fire protection
Smart Road Project in Thiruvananthapuram: The project envisages converting 37 kilometers of existing roads into world-class smart roads by placing all overhead utilities underground and improving roads and intersections. It will have functions such as safe pathways, storm water drains, electrical underground pipes and communication lines.
Water Treatment Plant in Aruvikkara:  It was built under the AMRUT mission. It will increase drinking water supply in Thiruvananthapuram
