♦ Eddie Jaku passed away on 12 October in Sydney, Australia, at 101 Age.
♦ Jaku was born Abraham “Adi” Jakubowiez in April 1920 in the German city of Leipzig.
♦ He escaped the holocaust and was saved by US Troops near starved and sick with cholera and typhoid.
♦ He was a volunteer at the Sydney Jewish Museum and shared his experiences and philosophies of life with visitors.
♦ He married Jewish wife Flore, who survived the war pretending to be a Christian, and they migrated to Australia in 1950.
