Guidelines of Flex Fuel Vehicles

About Flex fuel vehicle:
♦ A flex fuel vehicle (FFV) is a modified version of a vehicle that can run on both gasoline and blended gasoline with varying levels of ethanol blends.
♦ These are currently being used successfully in Brazil to provide people with the option of switching fuel sources.
♦ These flexible fuel vehicles allow for greater use of biofuels in vehicle operation.
♦ Previously, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued a Draft notification for mass emission standards for E 12 (a 12 percent ethanol blend in gasoline) and E 15 fuels, easing their use as automotive fuels.
