Four New National Helpline Number Launched

01 June 2021 Current Affairs:The Joint Information and Broadcasting Department have launched four new helplines to help people in the second wave of covid-19. A consultation report has been issued to the government’s private television channels to spread awareness about the covid-19 pandemic to raise these figures.

Highlights:
♦ 1075 is the national service hotline. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
♦ 1098 is the hotline for children’s help. Ministry of Women and Child Development
♦ 14566 is the elderly helpline of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. It will operate in Karnataka, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
♦ 08046110007 is the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS) helpline, which will provide psychological support.
♦ In addition, the AYUSH department also launched a community support hotline 14443 to provide methods and solutions to the challenges faced by COVID-19.
