13 October 2021 Current Affairs:The national capital region planning board (NCRPB) has approved the Draft Regional Plan-2041. 

Highlights:
♦ It had been approved at e 41st meeting of NCRPB, which was held on 13 October under the chairmanship of the Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri. 
♦ The Plan also lays a key specializes in multi-modal connectivity across NCR through air, road, rail and inland waterway connectivity.
♦ It proposes 30-minute connectivity through super-fast trains within significant cities of NCR also proposes to explore the feasibility of a half-hour Mass Transit Rail System from nearest NCR boundaries to Delhi

NCR Planning Board
♦ The National Capital Region (NCR) is a planning area centred upon the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi in India.
♦ It includes Delhi and several districts from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
♦ It was created to arrange policies for controlling land uses and infrastructure development in the region.
♦ The NCR and the affiliated National Capital Region Planning Board were created in 1985.
