Highlights:
♦ Lunar Science Workshop is a two-day workshop, organised by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The workshop started out on 6th September 2021. This workshop was organised to commemorate the completion of 2 years of operation of Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft throughout the moon’s orbit. The Lunar Science workshop was live-streamed on ISRO’s website and Facebook page to efficiently reach the students, academia and institutes.
♦ By the Chairman of ISRO, K Sivan, Chandrayaan-2 involves eight payloads and are conducting faraway sensing & in-situ observations of the Moon at 100 km altitude from the lunar surface.
♦ On the occasion, K Sivan also launched records product and science documents besides the data from Chandrayaan-2 orbiter payloads.
♦ Science records are being made accessible to academia and institutes in order to analyse them. It will also assist in bringing greater science from Chandrayaan-2 mission.
