♦It is a significant feat because, for the first time since Independence, the whole defense land has been surveyed utilising cutting-edge survey technology, the report stated.
♦The size of the landholding, the positioning of land in about 4,900 pockets, inaccessible terrain in many areas, and the engagement of many stakeholders, according to the ministry, make it one of India’s “biggest” land surveys.
♦Modern survey technology such as the Electronic Total Station, Differential Global Positioning System, and drone and satellite imagery was used to assure “reliable, robust, and time-bound” results.
