16 October 2021 Current Affairs:The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has launched an automated fuelling technology called “UFill” on 15 Oct 2021 to provide its customers with a quick, secure, and smart experience at outlets by giving them control over-fueling.
Highlights:
♦To give customers complete control over Time, Technology, and Transparency in their fueling experience, the new digital technology eliminates the need to look at zero or final readings or any other such offline manual interventions.
♦The UFill functionality works with any payment app, including GPay, PayTM, and PhonePe, and it also sends out real-time QR and coupon codes through SMS.
♦Furthermore, if clients pay in advance and the amount paid in advance is only partially used, the remainder is instantly repaid to the customer’s bank account.
♦The UFill technology has already been implemented in 65 cities across India, with the rest of the country to follow soon.
