09 September 2021 Current Affairs:Biologist of India Shailendra Singh has been awarded the Behler Turtle Conservation Award for bringing three significantly endangered turtle conservation species again from the brink of extinction. 

Highlights:
♦ Shailendra was named to lead the Turtle Survival Alliance/ Wildlife Conservation Society India turtle programme.
♦ The award has been bestowed by quite a few international bodies worried in turtle conservation such as Turtle Survival Alliance, IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group, Turtle Conservancy, and Turtle Conservation Fund.
♦ The Behler Turtle Conservation Award was mounted in 2006 to realize tremendous achievements, contributions and management excellence in worldwide turtle conservation and biology.
