- She passed away at the age of 80 on 11 December.
- She was born in New Orleans on 4 October 1941.
- Anne Rice’s debut novel, issued in 1976, Interview with the Vampire, circles a vampire named Louis de Pointe du Lac, who recounts his life story to a reporter.
- Her other creations are Pandora, Violin, Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt, The Witching Hour etc.
- Rice’s books have marketed over 100 million copies, earning her one of the best-selling writers of modern times.
