07 October 2021 Current Affairs:Anshu Maliki reached the world wrestling championship finals on 6 October to become the first Indian woman to reach the finals.

Highlights:
♦ Anshu, a 19-year-old wrestler from India, is the ruling Asian champion.
♦ She won by technical superiority within the 57 kg category.
♦ Only four Indian women wrestlers have won medals at the Worlds and have held the trophy.
♦ Anshu has also become only the sixth Indian ever to reach the Worlds trophy match. 
India has just one world Champion named Sushil Kumar.
♦ Anshu Malik is an Indian freestyle wrestler. In the Asian Wrestling Championships 2021, she won the trophy. 
♦ Jagdeesh is her coach, who gives her training at Chaudhary Bharat Singh Memorial Sports School in Nidani. 
♦ Her father, Dharamvir Malik, was a world wrestler and has worked with the CISF.
