♦ SWEAT (Sona Women’s Entrepreneurship and Training) from Sona College of Technology in Tamil Nadu received the award under the sub-theme “Women Entrepreneurship”.
♦ Another university from Tamil Nadu, Paritrana from St. Joseph’s College of Engineering won the Self-Defense sub-theme award.
♦ Bharatiya Vidyapeeth of the School of Management and Entrepreneurship Development won the award with the theme of “literacy”.
♦ The WIT Women’s Health Alliance of the Walchand Institute of Technology in Maharashtra won the Lilavati Award under the “Women’s Health” sub-theme.
♦ Radiant Seetha of the West Galagall Polytechnic Institute won the competition with the sub-theme “Legal Awareness”.
♦ The award is named after a book titled “Lilavati” in the twelfth century. This book was written by the mathematician Bhaskara II. Lilavati is the daughter of Bhaskara II. The award is awarded annually as part of AICTE’s innovative education program to empower women.
♦ Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a small savings plan designed to encourage girls’ parents to establish a fund for their future education and marriage expenses.
♦ The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative aims to promote gender equality in the country. It also aims to educate girls in India.
♦ Smart India Hackathon is a platform to solve problems of women in day to-day life.
