A-76 Has Become the World’s Largest Iceberg Floating In The World

22 May 2021 Current Affairs:A block of ice larger than the Spanish island of Mallorca has cut into the Weddell Sea from the frozen edge of Antarctica. Now, it has become the largest iceberg in the world. 

Highlights: 
Scientists have given the iceberg the name A-76.
The A-76 broke away from the Ronne Ice Shelf in Antarctica.
This was discovered in the latest satellite images captured by the Copernicus Sentinel-1 mission.
