Age Limit
As per the Apprenticeship, Rules. The minimum age is should not be less than 14 years.
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years of relaxation.
- Persons with disabilities: 10 years of relaxation.
- OBC – Non-Creamy Layer Candidates: 3 years relaxation
Educational Qualifications
Category – I Trade (ITI) Apprentices
- The candidates should be passed out in the particular trade of NCVT Pattern designated by the Director-General of Employment and Training and those who have registered with Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training,(RDAT) Chennai will only be considered for selection.
Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices
- A diploma in Engineering (or) Technology granted by a university in a relevant discipline.

Selection Process
The Interested candidates who forwarded their Applications before 31st Dec 2020. The CSIR CECRI Officials will conduct the interview through Google Meet.

Stipended for Trade(ITI) Apprentices:
- Fitter, Machinist, Electrician, Wireman, Electronics Mechanic, Refrigeration & A/c Mechanic, Draughtsman(Civil) -Rs. 7,574
Welder,PASAA, Carpenter – Rs. 6,732
Stipended for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering -Rs.7,574
